A Fistful of Dollars

Picture
A Fistful of Dollars is my favourite film. A stranger arrives in town and turns it upside down! It's stylish, cool and Ennio Morricone's soundrack is fabulous! This film changed the Western genre for good. It was the first 'Spaghetti Western'.

The stranger, played by Clint Eastwood, is super-cool and enigmatic, a man of few words. He's out to make money from the two opposing gangs in the town but shows a compassionate side too, evidenced by his rescue of the family who have been torn apart by Ramon. The scene when he appears out of the dust storm caused by the dynamite, wearing a hidden iron plate under his poncho, is iconic.

A Fistul of Dollars is a gem!
